Relationship Breakthrough Session in California
Accelerated healing for women who can’t spend another day confused about what the fug is going on
Concentrated, effective therapy to get you the clarity and confidence you need – now, not months from now.
Does traditional weekly therapy feel too slow for what you're dealing with right now?
You need answers. You need clarity. You need to feel like yourself again and you need it now, not six months from now.
Perhaps you're ready to do the work, but the traditional model of therapy – where you spend the first 15 minutes catching your therapist up, 20 minutes actually working, and then having to stop right when you're getting somewhere – feels frustratingly slow.
You don't have months to spend in the "getting to know you" phase. You need support that matches the urgency of what you're experiencing.
You need support that matches the urgency of what you're experiencing.
The traditional model of weekly therapy is shifting to meet your needs.
Now more than ever, we need flexibility in how we get support. Therapy intensives offer you a way to accelerate your healing without sacrificing depth or quality.
What are therapy intensives?
Therapy Intensives are personalized treatment sessions that allow you to work in longer, focused blocks of time – typically 3-4 hours in a day or across multiple days.
This format gives you the space to go deeper into your healing without the interruption of a 45-minute session ending just as you're getting to the core of what matters.
An intensive format allows you to:
Make faster progress on the issues causing you the most pain right now
Go deeper without having to stop and pick up where you left off week after week
Save time by not spending the first part of every session recapping what happened since you last met
Get a jumpstart on your healing before transitioning into consistent weekly sessions, or as a supplement to ongoing therapy
Work on your schedule in a way that fits your life, rather than trying to fit weekly appointments into an already packed calendar

You’ve Achieved A Lot But Your Current Relationship Isn’t The Best At Times
Do any of these scenarios sound familiar?
You argue all the time and feel the relationship could be fixed if you just knew the right thing to say and do.
You often feel used, taken for granted, and unsupported in your relationship.
You question if your feelings are justified or if you’re being “too sensitive.”
You often find yourself confused, feeling a mix of, “this doesn’t feel good” and questioning, “is this how it’s supposed to be?”
You notice that even though you’re constantly explaining yourself you’re not being heard. You wonder if you can communicate better.
You’re afraid to make decisions without him because you haven’t figured out how to do it without making him angry.
This Relationship Is Affecting Your Whole Life
Even when you really need to focus on important tasks or be present with others, the conflicts replay in your mind.
It’s creating distance between you and the people you care about because of the shame; you may think “no one would ever expect someone like me to be dealing with this,” so you distance yourself from them and talk to them less.
You may avoid opportunities that would elevate you and your life out of fear that he may feel threatened or start “Interrupting your grinding!” *Queen Bey voice*
Or maybe, you’ve noticed that it’s hard to eat or that sleep is not as sweet.
Relationship Therapy can help you improve your relationship!
You can go from feeling crazy, consumed, and “on edge” to feeling confident, clear, and relaxed in your relationship. You can have the same level of success you have in other parts of your life, in your relationship, too. With support, it’s possible and can be closer than you think.
Because we’re so emotionally close to what’s happening, relationships can be hard to navigate by ourselves. But what if you had someone help you make decisions and move through the hard parts? My approach includes YOU and how you wish to move through changes in your life.
Together we’ll:
examine how your arguments tend to go so you can understand your part in the argument cycle vs their part
learn when to negotiate or compromise in your relationship vs. when to set healthy boundaries
improve your somewhat shaken self-esteem/confidence
create effective boundaries that fit you and implement them so you can start changing your relationship for the better today
collaboratively work on your relationship together, getting you supported every step of the way
Now that your Type A brain is satisfied, just know we’re gonna do the work, but we’ll “kiki” alot-a-bit too!
Relationship Therapy can help you:
Be more assertive, have more self-confidence, and increase self-esteem
Set and enforce boundaries without feeling scared of their reaction
Improve your part of the argument cycle to argue less and communicate better
Re-engage with other areas of life outside the relationship and not feel guilty about it
Make the best decisions for your relationship just like you’ve done with everything else
Stop feeling confused about your feelings so you can communicate more clearly and confidently
Have it all… including a healthy, loving relationship.

Frequently Asked Questions about Individual Relationship Therapy in California
-
In my experience working with couples, there was always a plethora of individual work that needed to be done before couples’ work started. For that reason, I specialize in individual relationship therapy for black women and singles. I recommend that happens first. If you think you still might need couples therapy right away, I wouldn’t be the therapist for you at this time. But if you’re ready to work individually on your relationship, I’d love to have you.

It depends on your goals and how engaged you are in our work together. Therapy takes time! Especially, when there are deep-rooted causes to our current pain and behaviors. Sometimes, it can be a few months and sometimes much longer. I assure you that I will be tracking your progress toward your goals and will let you know when I think we’re approaching graduation!
